Calle 23 Reposado stands out as the embodiment of patience and harmony. After being double-distilled in stainless steel pot stills to capture the clean, fruity essence of the Highland agave, the spirit is rested—or “reposado”—for 8 months in ex-bourbon barrels. This aging period is carefully chosen to bring subtle layers of complexity without overpowering the agave’s natural character.
Crafted with Passion, Rested in Tradition
In the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, where the blue agave stretches endlessly across the highlands, a French-born biochemist named Sophie Decobecq found her calling—not in laboratories, but in the soul of tequila.
Sophie’s journey began with a fascination for fermentation and the chemistry of spirits, which led her to Mexico in the early 2000s. What started as a scientific pursuit quickly became a love affair with agave, the land, and the artisanal ways of tequila-making. Out of this deep respect for Mexican heritage and her technical precision, Calle 23 was born—a modern tequila built on traditional methods, named after the street where Sophie once lived in Guadalajara.
